Christopher is a chartered surveyor and chartered marketer. After graduating from Land Economy in Aberdeen, he began his career in surveying with Ryden in Edinburgh (residential agency), moving on to King & Co also in Edinburgh (commercial agency and professional), then to Chestertons in London (residential investment and development) and Brixton Estate plc (commercial and industrial investment and development).
Christopher manages the marketing at Chalmers & Co and works with the agency team.
After gaining an MBA at the University of Warwick, he developed his career in marketing and management consultancy. This included launching software and consumer telecoms products while in senior managements. From late 2001 Christopher built up his own strategic and marketing management consultancy called Real Marketing Specialists, specialising in the property (clients range from estate agencies and industry associations to residential developers), tourism, technology and education sectors.
Real Marketing's services cover strategic planning and most areas of marketing communication, both traditional like branding, PR and direct marketing, and on the internet, including website project management, SEO, search marketing and social media.
Christopher brings these marketing skills to Chalmers which helps ensure that clients benefit from planned, creative marketing.
Christopher is a family man and lives within shouting distance of Chalmers & Co's office in Haddington with his wife, Bornie, and three children. His passions are gardening, cycling, walking, tennis, skiing and investment, and he enjoys the occasional sporting 'challenge'.
